Gene Kelly

Eugene “Gene” Curran Kelly (Pittsburgo, 23 de agosto de 1912 — Beverly Hills, 2 de fevereiro de 1996) foi um dançarino, ator, cantor, diretor, produtor e coreógrafo norte-americano.

Iniciou bem cedo sua carreira na Broadway, com uma aparição no espetáculo “Leave It To Me”, de Cole Porter, fazendo o papel de um esquimó, ao lado de Mary Martin.

Ao lado de Fred Astaire, Kelly foi um dos expoentes enquanto os Musicais eram o estilo preferido de Hollywood. Foi ator, diretor, produtor e coreógrafo em várias peças e filmes, com passagem pela televisão norte-americana.

Seu trabalho mais conhecido, verdadeiro clássico dos musicais, é Cantando na chuva, do qual também foi diretor.
